DUAL EYE TIME-LAPSE

When my videographer was shooting my artist documentary, he had me draw this lower eye as a time-lapse piece for the video. Stay tuned on the footage, it will be added to my site!

GAGE HINGELEY JOINS RASHELLE STETMAN ART TEAM

Gage Hingeley a talented videographer from San Diego, California flew out to shoot an artist documentary on me.

This process was really enlightening for me. It forced me to dig deep as to why I am doing this. It pushed me to sift through the layers of me to get to the real reasons why I followed this path and why I stick to it so harshly. I learned a lot about myself from what came out of my mouth discussing what being an artist does for me.

I remember one line…

“I was never meant for ordinary things.”

Stippled Eye

Sometimes after a long day I am just sitting here at my draftsman table wondering what I’d draw if I could start a piece in that very moment.

This one just came to me. I really am obsessed with the feeling you get as the artist stippling a piece of art. Its such a slow, tedious process in which something great begins to be built. I wonder if people had patience with many other things in life the way you have to with stilling if the world would function in a way where more if understood about society.

Does that even make sense?

The time it takes to stipple an entire piece is always time well spent as I sit there focusing so hard on one thing that everything else outside of that ceases to exist.
