NUDE SELF PORTRAIT WORK IN PROGRESS

One of my new clients in Florida reached out asking about the nudes I have been drawing. She wanted one of her own with a figure who had floral tattoos all over much like the other works I have been creating.

None of the models were appealing to her for what she has envisioned. She described a model who looked just like me so I took it upon myself to use myself as the model for her piece. She is thrilled!

This experience has taught me so much already. One, being my models have become much more confident in modeling nude for me now that I too have done it. And two, that I can think like the model to improve my photography skills for these shoots.

It is a vulnerable place to be, sitting nude for someone with a camera in front of them. It can make you feel self conscious when inexperienced.

New works in progress of this piece will be posted soon!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!

WHITE TAIL DEER WORK IN PROGRESS

I am extremely honored to work for this new client of mine from my hometown. She taught me how to play hockey when I was young and now I creating work for her almost 15 years later!

Here is a work in progress shot of the White Tail Deer she wanted me to draw. With so much creative freedom here, she allowed me to find a photo and position of my own liking and reference that for the piece. I loved drawing this one, as it is my first deer I have drawn!

Very excited about the process of this piece. It has been really fun playing with the stain and colors in the coat of the deer. Stay tuned for the final piece!

APPRECIATION FROM MY DRAFTSMAN TABLE

Often, when I am working in my studio I find myself overwhelmed with the life I have the honor of living.

Today, I am working on a custom piece for a new client of mine and simultaneously drawing another piece for Blackbook Gallery, the gallery I just became a part of a couple months ago.

It’s hard to explain, its almost impossible to put into words how much I truly love what I do. I can’t imagine doing anything else and thats exactly why I put in the amount of hours I do. I know I don’t have to by any means, I overwork myself often, But I overwork myself because I am addicted to what I do. I love it, so this helps ease the stress.

I want to put in as much time and energy as I can while I am young and hungry for these challenges in figuring out new ways to improve at creating and the entire creative process.

Denver has been so good to me. This is where I started my business 3 years ago, hungry for clients and paid work. Hungry for people to see potential from my work. I feel I have gained a huge amount of support here and I am so grateful for the people who have supported me and believed in my work. Its truly amazing to be able to have turned my passion into my career. WOW. Thank you everyone who has helped me get here, I wish I could HUG EVERY ONE OF YOU!

Feel free to email me, I love connecting to people who enjoy my work and follow my journey.

THANK YOU.
