This work was a commission through a company in Denver, CO called Superior Ink. They are proud of their Sroq automatic press. When I was asked to create an illustration for them I wanted to incorporate equipment that is used and unique to their business. The Octopus represents the hard workers that make up the production floor. I decided to illustrate this work in Micron pen on Bristol paper. Several sections of this illustration are made up of dots that formulate values. This technique is called stippling, something I tend to do a lot with my works in pen. The piece is 8.5×11 inches and will be seen on future apparel for Superior Ink.
