This work references someone very special to me. It expresses a position that I saw this individual in many times, crouched up, grasping their legs tightly as if they’d never let go. It was a pose of comfort and safety, yet at the same token, fear and sadness. I sanded away parts of the painting symbolizing the idea of it acting as a memory does. Though parts are district and clear the haziness of that moment fades and such is a long life lived.
