When I started drawing this piece, I took a far different approach. I decided to try drawing on canvas, instead of wood or paper, which was one of the hardest things I have done.
This work is graphite on canvas, with wood stain and oil paint. With Salvador Dali being my favorite artist of all time, I had a blast creating this work and my client let me pick out the custom frame.
This is the finished product.
